Jenny Karl is a registered dietitian and national spokesperson for National Dairy Council.  She is also Vice President of Marketing & Communications for New England Dairy & Food Council.  She coordinates promotions and communication outreach to consumers, health professionals, schools, and retailers throughout New England.

Jenny is passionate about communicating science-based nutrition information to the public in user-friendly language and enjoys working with farmers and helping to connect people to where their food comes from.

A native of Illinois, Jenny holds a Bachelor of Science degree in food science and human nutrition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Science degree in nutrition communication from Tufts University, where she also completed her dietetic internship.

Ally Gallop, MS, RD, LDN

Ally is a registered dietitian and Manager of Nutrition Communications for New England Dairy & Food Council (NEDFC). She is responsible for planning and implementing communication plans and public relations throughout the Council’s five states. NEDFC works in an interdisciplinary manner, with Ally working across the communication, Fuel Up to Play 60, health and wellness, marketing, and social media teams.

Additionally, Ally’s memberships extend to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Massachusetts Dietetic Association, Public Relations Society of America, and Canadian Diabetes Education Certification Board. She completed her Master of Science in Nutrition Communication and Behavior Change, with a minor in U.S. Food and Nutrition Policy, at Tufts University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Food, Nutrition, Health at the University of British Columbia, where she completed her dietetic internship.

Prior to working with NEDFC, Ally was a clinical and outpatient dietitian specializing in diabetes, gastrointestinal health and surgery, and heart health. She also interned at FoodMinds, a food policy and nutrition communication firm, and Branchfood, a Boston-based food and beverage startup.

Kiley Putnam

Kiley Putnam is a public relations and multimedia specialist for the New England Dairy Promotion Board. She comes from a broadcast journalism background and brings her journalism perspective to the world of public relations and communications. Kiley enjoys telling the dairy farmer story, especially through video. She is a Connecticut native, an ice-cream fanatic, and loves all things dairy!

Kiley received a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from West Virginia University. Prior to working with New England Dairy, she was a reporter at WDTV 5 News/WVFX FOX 10 in Bridgeport, West Virginia. After spending some time in the newsroom, she returned to New England to further pursue her passion in multimedia and communications.

Laura brings over 10 years of public relations and marketing experience to her role as the Farmer Relations & Communications Manager for New England Dairy Promotion Board. Laura is a 7th generation Vermonter and has seen firsthand the positive impact dairy farms have on the health of our economy and our communities. Her grandparents and parents were raised on Vermont dairy farms, and her brother is the next generation to farm. She is proud that Vermont dairy farms are a big part of where she comes from and where she’s headed as she shares her love for all things dairy.

Rene works to bridge the gap between dairy farmers and consumers by pitching relevant stories to the local media. He is a lifelong Vermonter who’s passionate about showcasing the hard work and dedication of the state’s dairy professionals. From a cool glass of chocolate milk to a maple creemee, Rene loves all things dairy.
