Question:
Are dairy foods fattening?

Answer:
Dairy foods fill you up, but not out! From full fat to fat-free and flavored to plain varieties, the dairy case has something for everyone, regardless of their calorie needs. New research shows that consuming 3 -4 servings of milk, cheese or yogurt along with a calorie-controlled, well- balanced diet can actually decrease body fat or weight. It also ensures that you get the calcium you need along with eight other essential nutrients needed for good health. Children benefit too, because adults important role models. For example, research also shows that when children see their parents drink milk, especially their mom, they’re more likely to drink milk and meet their daily calcium needs at a time when they need it the most.
