Valentine’s Day Banana-Strawberry
Parfait with a Cocoa Twist
Set up the ingredients and have students make this nutritious
– and delicious– easy-to-make parfait for your Valentine’s
Day class party. Adjust the ingredients as needed for the number of students
in your class. For smaller servings, use short glasses and only follow Steps
1 – 3 and Step 5.
Ingredients
3 6-ounce containers strawberry yogurt
2 cups cocoa puff
1/3 cup unsalted sunflower seeds**
2 bananas, sliced
4 strawberries, washed
**Note: Double the sunflower seed to 2/3 cup if you are
making eight, small servings.
Instructions
1. Wash hands.
2. For each parfait, spoon 1/4 cup yogurt into the bottom of a clear, plastic
cup or glass.
3. Top with 1/4 cup cereal, 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds, several slices of
bananas and 2 tablespoons yogurt.
4. Repeat with cereal, banana slices and 2 tablespoons yogurt.
5. Top each parfait with a strawberry and enjoy!
Makes 4 regular-size (or 8 small servings)
