Knowing why it is important to eat a diet rich in low-fat dairy, whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and how to choose these nutrient-rich foods are skills that will serve each student for a lifetime and may help ward off chronic conditions, such as obesity. Fortunately, nutrition education can easily be incorporated into core subject areas, such as math and science. We have a variety of interesting and fun lesson plans for all ages. These lessons are based on sound nutrition information from the USDA’s MyPyramid and other reputable sources.
