School Milk
Milk is an important part of School Meals!
Milk, cheese and yogurt contribute important nutrients to the school meal programs. In fact, milk is the number one food source of calcium, vitamin D and potassium in children’s diets. USDA's school meal patterns are designed to ensure that every student has access to nutrient-rich options for good health and academic success. These federal guidelines require that either fat-free flavored milk or low-fat or fat-free white milk are offered with each school meal.
